How to become an IPMA Level D candidate?
Any applicant with interest in project management and certification at the given level or already working on projects as a project team member can become a candidate:
- by accepting the Information for Applicants for the given year and submitting a completed application form for the given certification level;
- by paying the certification fee charged for certification at the relevant level.
Note: The current version of Information for Applicants including the Price List for each year shall be displayed online before 30 November of the previous year. The price is set based on the date of acceptance of the application by the CB SPŘ, i.e. application acceptance before or after 1 January of each year is indicative of the price.
Some advice before you sit the Written Examination:
- Study the National Standard Competences of Project Management including the appendices dealing with tools and techniques (which are tested too) and the PM Glossary.
- Study the topics. You can use the map of literature available as a guideline. (It will help you locate information on each topic you need to study.)
- Be aware that what you are examined on is PM theory by IMPA and its practical application rather than your company practice.

National Standard Competences of Project Management (Czech)
The National Standard Competences are a recommended material to be studied by project management certification candidates.
An improved version 3.1 of the PM Glossary is now available, listing the basic concepts which are among the certification process examination priorities. The glossary, unlike the one in the printed version, contains additional entries explaining basic concepts from the area of behavioural competences.
The printed version of the glossary which is a part of CzNCB ver3.0 is still valid but you can answer the questions testing your knowledge of relevant concepts using the online version.
